BIOGRAPHY

Qantas Socceroos

Burst onto the scene with Northern Spirit and quickly established himself as a player of the future. Injuries blighted the early part of his career, but Guus Hiddink noticed his talents and included him in the 2006 World Cup squad.

His tough, no nonense approach has won him many admirers. But since that shock appearance in the 2006 squad has been unsettlled, changing clubs several times.

Moved from Sydney FC to Newcastle Jets in 2008 and then followed that with spells in China with Shanghai Shenhua and in the J-League with JEF United. Qantas Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek thinks highly of Milligan and that has seen him including in the preliminary World Cup squad.
