BIOGRAPHY

Qantas Socceroos

Is an excitement machine, with his terrific pace and aggressive running at defenders. When he gets the ball the crowd usually get ready with anticipation that something is about happen.

Successfully trialed with Everton as a 16-year-old and played alongside England superstar Wayne Rooney in the Youth Team. Didn't quite crack the first team and after several short spells at lower league clubs for over a year, decided to return home to Sydney and try his luck in the Hyundai A-League.

Caught the eye with some outstanding performances at the Asian Cup finals, playing in the unfamiliar role of left wing-back. These performances saw the then Sydney FC player attract a lot interest overseas and he signed a deal with English Championship side Sheffield United.

After a frustrating period at Bramall Lane and then at Norwich City moved to Dutch outfit FC Twente where he has also struggled for first team football.

However, despite his troubles at club level has always shone in a Qantas Socceroos shirt, scoring a couple of fantastic goals along the way.
