Qantas Socceroos
A former Under 17 and Under 23 Australian international, who earned a call up after consistently finding the back of the net for his Dutch second Division side Excelsior.
Burst onto the scene as a 17-year-old with Parramatta Power with five goals in 11 games. He was quickly snapped up by Dutch giant Feyenoord and was loaned out to Excelsior, who at the time were also in the Dutch 1st Division.
Despite his young age, he played many first team games in that first season, although Excelsior were relegated. Stayed with them to gain first team football and was over the next three seasons among their most consistent performers in front of goal.
Secured a move to 1st Division side NEC Nijmegen and was a regular first team member. Scored his first international goal against China in 2007, the first of hopefully many for the national team.
Can play either as an attacking midfielder or striker; is strong, aggressive, very quick and a good finisher inside the penalty box. His performances for NEC saw him move to top Dutch club AZ Alkmaar where he won a Dutch title and become a regular.
